The Ziro Music Festival is quietly one of the best in Asia. Four days of curated indie music on two stages, set inside the paddy fields of the Apatani tribe. Sleep in a bamboo hut, wake up to fog, eat pork ribs at 11am, and lose count of the incredible new bands you'll discover.

Day by day

The itinerary.

D1

Guwahati → Ziro

Early flight or overnight train, then a 10h scenic drive up to Ziro. Settle into our bamboo cottages. Opening night acoustic set.

Festival Day 1

Slow morning. Enter festival grounds by 1pm. Music till midnight, dinner from local food stalls.

D3

Festival Day 2 + Village walk

Morning guided tour of a Ziro heritage village with the tribe. Festival from afternoon till 1am.

Festival Day 3

Yoga morning. Full day at the festival — the biggest headliners. Late-night bonfire back at camp.

Ziro → Guwahati (return)

Long drive back down. Evening arrival in Guwahati.
